Last 6 weeks very busy . Seams to of been filled with sash window repairs. Yarmouth, Walsingham, Norwich Golden Triangle ets. Really interesting work both in all these beautiful houses and at the workshop. Having looked on you tube found a brilliant way of removing the old glass by making up a steamer to soften the putty works a treat. Other work, fitting oak kitchen worktops, making up and fitting chestnut bardge boards.
Although this recession is a long one at least one positive point is to allow a great amount of interesting restoration work takes me back to the beginning when I started as a antique furniture restorer.
Having had to visit London last week called into the Camden box sash company. great to view a great traditional workshop

Great week walking in the Lakes . Last couple of months busy doing Joinery repairs, small kitchen made, Ledged door repairs, sash window repairs. End gable wall made with large glass doors and glass window above, for the work studio.
Oak and sycamore table still waiting to be made.
Workshop progressing well. fumming cabinet made for fuming oak . Plan to construct a solar kilm in the wood yard!.

New workshop is fabulous beautiful space and a real delight having a yard for my timber.
Work has been interesting. finally have my timber stock on an excel spread sheet, so much easier. Windows made ledge doors made . lots of sash windows repairs. still have some framing for a work studio to do and possibly an elm floor to fit. I have an order for an oak and sycamore table. all looking good for the next 6 weeks.
